Small Mentor Coaching Groups |
|
A Mentor Coaching Group
is an opportunity to participate with other individuals in a group setting that
is structured around a common interest. Each participant in a Mentor Coaching Group
receives individual coaching from the Mentor Coach while at the same time
benefits from the work, successes and challenges of the other group
participants.
Why Group Coaching?
A wonderful energy occurs when we come together in groups. Growth and change
can be accelerated by the support and alliances between like-minded
individuals. A sense of community is created by the group and for the group.
It's a rich opportunity to give and receive the support and encouragement we
each need in our lives to be our best and most brilliant self. It is very
powerful to talk about the deeply meaningful challenges we face in our lives
with others who are facing their own challenges.
How Does Group
Coaching Work?
Six to ten individuals come together with Dr. Jackie and create a Mentor
Coaching Group with a particular structure, focus or theme in mind. The Mentor Coaching
Group becomes a safe place to ask yourself the tough questions, share thoughts,
ideas, concerns with trusted peers, stretch yourself where you may be weak or
recognize your limits and engage in enjoyable, meaningful discussions.
Mentor Coaching Groups are conducted over the telephone using TeleConferencing
technology called "bridges." Mentor Coaching Groups are simply a phone call
from the convenience of your home, office or wherever you are!
Mentor Coaching Groups
connect you with participants from all over the world who share your commitment
to embrace change, work smart and learn essential success skills, tools and
strategies so you can realize your business and professional goals faster than
you otherwise might.
Dr. Jackie's Mentor Coaching
Groups meet three (3) times per month for 75 minutes.
The calls are scheduled on the same day of each week and at the same time of
the day.
You benefit from the shared wisdom of the group and the wins and
disappointments of individual group members. This format is affordable,
effective and efficient.
How is the Mentor Group Structured?
At the beginning of each session, Dr. Jackie will start with a check-in and
update from each group member. That will be followed by questions and answers,
experience and resource sharing, open coaching, discussion on the "topic
of the week" and action commitments from everyone. Dr. Jackie will end
each group session with a check-out.
This is not a TeleClass. This is Group Coaching. The structure belongs to the
group. Your participation is essential.
Between group calls, members
of your coaching group trade insights and solutions, and share your successes
and challenges through a private listserv created for each Mentor Coaching Group.
What is the Mentor Coaching Group
Format?
Dr.
Jackie's Mentor Coaching Groups focus on the three essential elements of a
successful coaching business: Coaching skills; Marketing skills; and Business
skills.
Mentor
Coaching Groups meet three times each month; and each week has a specific focus.
Week One:
Coaching Skills
The skills-drill practicum is a unique opportunity to
practice coaching skills and observe coaching under the guidance of your Mentor
Coach, Dr. Jackie. This practicum focuses on each of the nine basic skills, based
on the Core Coaching Competencies as defined by the ICF, through dialogue,
observation and practice. Participants build and refine the skills,
abilities, and confidence necessary to be highly effective coaches.
Each participant in the group is asked to coach one of the
other participants. At the conclusion of each mock coaching session, Dr. Jackie
will offer feedback on the coaching proficiencies and core competencies demonstrated.
Each participant in the group is asked to listen carefully
for the coaching proficiencies and core competencies; and describe what they
heard following each mock coaching session.
Round Robin coaching is also facilitated by Dr. Jackie
from time-to-time.
The coaching proficiencies and core
competencies covered include:
- Establishing trust & intimacy with the client
- Coaching presence
- Active listening
- Powerful questioning
- Direct communication
- Creating awareness
- Designing actions
- Planning & Goal setting

In addition, Dr. Jackie will support you to strengthen your coaching

Week Two
Marketing Skills
Imagine
practicing archery with your eyes closed or throwing a football with a
blindfold on. In both cases, being prevented from seeing your target would make
it nearly impossible to hit it.
It's
exactly the same in business. Doing
business without knowing who your target market is will prevent you from
reaching your objectives: brand awareness, product positioning; increased enrollment
of clients in services; and increased sales of products.
Long gone
are the days of working a room. Being
successful no longer means getting your business card into as many hands as
physically possible during a networking event.
Today,
it's all about relationships: One-to-one relationship marketing!
Dr. Jackie
will support you to build, strengthen and refine marketing skills including:
- Getting
clients
- Getting
referrals
- Making
referrals
- Communicating
consistently with your base
- Doing
your market research
- Refining
your target market and niche
- Reaching
your target market
- Driving
highly-targeted traffic to your web site
- Developing
your Brand
- Positioning your product/service in your market
- Setting your revenue goals
- Becoming an expert/opinion leader in your niche
- Owning your niche
- Building
credibility and visibility with your target market
- Crafting
and delivering your compelling marketing message and hook
- Leveraging
income/developing multiple streams of income
- Marketing
new programs and products
- Creating
marketing campaigns
- Creating
a funnel that feeds your "prospect pipeline" with clients
- Developing
pre-qualifying and qualifying questionnaires
- Enrolling
clients
- Selling
products
Week Three
Business Skills
The back-end systems of your business are the HOW you will get done WHAT
you want to do!
You want
to be sure to have the back-end of your system solidly in place so you can keep
track of your prospects and clients; move your marketing along to ensure its
optimum effectiveness; and make sure you keep the money flowing into your bank
account.
A typical
system is going to include gathering information; storing information in a way
that is manageable and easy to use; delivering information even if its via
email; keeping records of information you delivered; tracking and following up
on the information you delivered; and the business it generates.
Dr. Jackie will discuss the strategic perspectives of these systems, focus
on aspects of building the back-end of your business system; and support you to
develop a systematic approach for creating and maintaining systems including:
- Serving
clients
- Keeping
clients
- Generating
a system for prospects
- Creating/putting into operation agreements, policies,
questionnaires, and assessments
- Building
and managing a database
- Managing
enrollment in private practice; groups and programs
- Designing,
building, hosting and managing a web site, blog, podcast, internet
radio show
- Syndicating
articles all over the Internet
- Distributing
an ezine
- R&D, marketing and launching secondary services,
products and programs
- Repurposing intellectual property
- Running
the business part of the business
-Vision; Mission; Purpose; Business
Plan; Marketing Funnel; R&D Plans and Bookkeeping
